چکیده

The aim of the present paper is evaluation resonance half-widths first maximum for probability total neutrino conversion in a medium. We consider simplest case two-neutrino mixing matter with constant refraction length. results can be applied, example, to studies oscillations Earth’s mantle and elsewhere.

Resonance trapping and saturation of decay widths

Resonance trapping appears in open many-particle quantum systems at high level density when the coupling to the continuum of decay channels reaches a critical strength. Here a reorganization of the system takes place and a separation of different time scales appears. We investigate it under the influence of additional weakly coupled channels as well as by taking into account the real part of th...

Distribution of resonance widths and dynamics of continuum coupling.

We analyze the statistics of resonance widths in a many-body Fermi system with open decay channels. Depending on the strength of continuum coupling, such a system reveals growing deviations from the standard chi-square (Porter-Thomas) width distribution. The deviations emerge from the process of increasing interaction of intrinsic states through common decay channels; in the limit of perfect co...

Distribution of Resonance Widths in Localized Tight-binding Models

We numerically analyze the distribution of scattering resonance widths in oneand quasi-one dimensional tight binding models, in the localized regime. We detect and discuss an algebraic decay of the distribution, similar, though not identical, to recent theoretical predictions.

Resonance widths in open microwave cavities studied by harmonic inversion.

From the measurement of a reflection spectrum of an open microwave cavity, the poles of the scattering matrix in the complex plane have been determined. The resonances have been extracted by means of the harmonic inversion method. By this, it became possible to resolve the resonances in a regime where the linewidths exceed the mean level spacing up to a factor of 10, a value inaccessible in exp...
